Before your manuscript is sent to an editor, an author should have several beta readers provide feedback on grammatical, story line, and consistency issues. Here is a great article to help you understand more about the purpose of beta readers. Unfortunately for authors, reliable beta readers aren’t always easy to find. That’s where Jae comes in.

Proofreading is an essential step to publishing a novel. Before it goes to press, but after it has been fully edited and formatted, a proofreader will be the last pair of eyes on your novel, both the print and e-book versions. Many new authors skip this step, thinking the editor has caught everything, but even the best editors can miss small things. That’s why it’s imperative to have fresh “virgin” eyes on your manuscript, as they will catch the slightest issues that you don’t want your readers to find first.
Jae and Michelle are our resident proofreaders with their hawk-like vision for small details. They will fully read your novel, taking note of any spelling, punctuation, or grammar issues, as well as check for formatting errors in any formats you have.
Prices can range from $25 and up; please contact one of our proofreaders for a quote!
If you would like us to assign you whichever proofreader is available, simply fill out our contact form in the main menu and ask for a quote.
